Without the Caffees, without word that there will be a third season, I am devastated!  So I look with admiration on Jason as Mark Brydon, in The State Within, which has been nominated for a Golden Globe, as best series on TV, and Jason for Best Lead ACtor in a series as Mark Brydon.

I cannot stop looking at the nice pictures Showtime keeps putting up to show me Michael Caffee from Brotherhood, and still hope for more next year.  Of course 2008 will give us Escorial Conspiracy, with Jason as the lead, and the much anticipated film GOOD, from pre-WWII Germany and good people falling into the Nazi trap for the sake of renewed German power and prosperity, with Jason as an intelectual victim and Viggo Mortenson in the lead.  This film is being touted as an entry in the Cannes Film Festival Best Film competition.  It looks SOOOO good...GOOD.

And of course I cannot tire of the beautiful Lucius Malfoy from Order of the Phoenix!  I do so wish there were a way to have Lucius as an important presence in the last two Harry Potter films!

Showtime will be the loser if they do not put up another season of their best show, BROTHERHOOD!  I am just one of the very many fans of that intricate, away from easy watching shows!  The scripts are not delicate little rambles with a few good scenes and no great characters.

Every character on this show is good!  Not good from the moral standpoint, but a good, psychological study into the darkness which is human psyche!  These are not fat, jolly crooks who base half their own dialog and beliefs on a movie.  These are well-studied characters we wish to untangle in order to understand so that we better understand ourselves and those near us.

Every actor is superior, presented in full detail, with no excuses for the violent and unhappy lives they live.  Jason Isaacs handles his lead role with finesse, giving us a man forced to violence by a violent, sociopathic father and a twisted unhappy mother. His unhappy siblings are equally well-written and well-played.  The entire neighborhood is a cut-away of American dreams and fantasies for the better life we all seek.

And the location, is a place which is definitely American, but also definitely NOT New York or vicinity, or Hollywood or vicinity, but Rhodes Island, a historically important American city

Tell us about your holiday traditions.

Our Holiday Traditions!  Well, when my six kids were young, everything was about a tree, and Santa, and lots of gifts.  But now, we are a bunch of atheist pagans, except for my lovely Jewish daughter-in-law who is not very kosher, but does see that her three kids, my beautiful and brilliant grandchildren!, celebrate Hanukaa, which I cannot spell, let alone celebrate.  We used to all withing driving distance gather at my SC home here where I spent a few days baking ham, roasting stuffed turkey, and hoping I hadn't forgotten too many things.  The kids--parents and grandkids-- usually slept campout style on various floors, guarded over and supervised by my old cats.  Among those cats was my lovely flame point half Siamese, half Maine Coon giant, Simon.  We all recall the first time he was closely assaulted by our singing of various Christmas Carols!  Jack and Sanna were cuddeled into their sleeping bags on the living room floor under out ten-foot tree, I was cuddeled into my blanket on my favorite armchair, and we had little song books from which we proceeded to sing, "Hark the Herald Angels Sing!"  Simon could not believe the depths of our pain as we sought the high notes and flousishes.  He stood in the middle of our trio, startled and looking from face to face, then turned and majestically exitted to the far off depths of the room behind the kitchen!  That face!  That glorious contempt!  We laughed so hard we gave up singing and took to recalling past holidays!  But now we have only a tiny tree covered with cat ornaments, and we all meet at the house of my daughter Rose and Husband Pat, both of whom carry on our tradition of singing (Pat plays the organ!) and eating far more than really fits into our tummies.  We all love our holiday traditions!

Had a really nice phone conversation with the gentleman in charge of the publicity campaign for my latest published novel, "ABISHAG", with xlibris book publishers.  He is from the Phillipine Islands, a very knowledgeable, expert, and extremely polite gentleman.  As we discussed various aspects of the campaign, we also soon discussed the veraious aspects of yours truly, and I let slip that my dear husband of over 57 years marriage called Jason Isaacs, my boyfriend!  He thought this was hilarious and said the name was familiar.  "Is that not the handsome cruel Col. Tavington from the movie, The Patriot", he commented, laughing.  And I of course confessed that to be true and he said, he preferred that role of Mr. Isaacs to his role in drag in the green sequins.  He also likes Lucius Malfoy well enough as a handsome evil villain, and we discussed other films which he had seen.  He is an avid fan of American and British movies, and a fan of Jason Isaacs.  Very nice to find a fan in a non-english-speaking country.

Mike Caffee can hardly miss being classified as a sociopath, with his proclivity for murder, mayhem, and constant inner anger.  All this is

shown constantly on the mobile factor of actor Jason Isaacs who protrays

him so perfectly.  Mike wants to be King of the Hill! He returned hom after

seven years of undisclosed roaming in the underworld of crime, and now in

this second year if recuperating for near-death at the hands of a drunken cop

who has not yet been discovered as the vicious attacker.  Mike still thinks of

Declan as almost family, a childhood companion on the streets, along with

brother Tommy.  Tommy is a sociopath in his own way, concentrating on

trying to gain polictial power and rule the little state as some sort of dictator,

Though Tommy is not noted as a murderer/criminal, he is a cold fish with his

sexual relationships, and a backstabbing political friend/enemy, seeking only his

own desires for wealth through crooked real estate developement and the

top of the reeking garbag heap which is local politics.  So both brothers have

learned life from their soiciopathic father, that drunkard who beat their mother

and his sons, taught by example to steal from the weak, and take what you

want in life, no matter how it may hurt others.  I have been making videos of

Mike Caffee, and have finally selected the music that suits him and Tommy

perfectly.....THE FIRST INSIDE, writter and performed by Bob Seeger.  Play it

The local cable just raised our rates so high that us old retirees are now paying over a hundred dollars a month, and HALF of that is for Showtime!  So if Brotherhood is not renewed my husband says we must give up your service!  PLEASE!  I need Brotherhood to save me from those boring reruns of Law and Order and such which my husband loves!  Of course he uses the better of our two sets, while I watch Showtime on our second set, a mediocrity!  But I would rather see Brotherhood snowy and blitzed, that not get to see it at all!  PLEASE!  Renew Brotherhood NOW! I need the Caffees to save me from boredom, ennui, silliness, repetitious junk, and who know what other moral evils!

I can't bear the thought of saying goodbye to anything new from Brotherhood!  I hope we hear soon that has been renewed for next year!  I have put my name on the preorder list for the dvd of the second season!  Hope Mike is not lying in a pool of blood again this last look at his poor neurotic family, his pitiable life.
