Here is one of many ideas for the cover of my upcoming book, SMOOTH AS SILK. I had the idea for this story about twenty years ago, but never got around to doing it. It was back in the 1980s when I was still absorbed in interviewing Viet Nam vets, and had all kinds of true stories from them. Also, my husband was then still working as a nuclear engineer/reactor scientist, or what have you, among the makers of the hydrogen bomb and the computer experts and mathematicians solving problems in the work with atomic power, and all that stuff, of which I understand little! So now I have finished the novel, and am planning the film script I want to write to go with it. My husband thinks it is a rather strange title, but of course he has not offered to read it. Lucky for me, because I, of course, would probably not let him read it! Well, it have lots of things to do to get it to the publisher and lots more to figure out just who to send it to as a free-lance submission! South Carolina has a really good state film office. Have just announced that Robert Duvall, Bruce Willis, and several other top male stars will be making a film here with a SC guy. So Maybe I will have to find his name and address! Wish me luck!
I certainly exhibited my lack of computer expertise! I thought that I could.... of all the stupid things! I thought I had a file with my favorite books listed, and could post it and discuss those books. Well, H....! I must have done it wrong again! Anyhow, I will just write about my own little publishing company, which is a legal part of my business, Isabel's Studio,Inc. It is called "Art STudio Press" and I have published a string of books, and had pretty good luck selling them.
1st at left, cover image of my newest book, Brothers of Darkness. 2nd Charles D.
